Azure Development is a Los Angeles based real estate development firm focused on creating exceptional communities and completing projects that become catalysts to inspire more vibrant cities throughout the Southwest.

Each project that Azure develops includes careful collaboration with the community, stakeholders and local officials to allow for each retail, housing, or mixed-use project to become the centerpiece of its community.

Azure’s Beginnings

Azure Development was created in response to a need in communities to create quality small and mid-size projects in areas often overlooked by large developers and equity funds. The projects Azure specializes in often require creative financing structures, public-private partnerships, complicated land use entitlements, active brownfield clean-up or a fresh approach to finding the right tenant or housing product type.

Azure was created to develop transformative retail, housing and mixed-use sites that contribute to and respect the communities they serve.

Our Logo

The Azure logo and brand is an expression of the holistic development approach taken by the firm in the creation of our projects.

The logo design was inspired by the hand-painted talavera tiles from Mexico. The talavera tile is not only used in many Azure projects for its distinctive beauty, but it is also a celebration of the cultural roots of the Southwest, the region where our projects are developed.

Embedded within the logo is a hummingbird or colibri. For many cultures, the hummingbird is thought to be the messenger of good luck and harmony. Our development team brings this expression of hope to each project and understands that each site must work in harmony with the surrounding community and nature.
